Vilas Neighboorhood
The Vilas Neighborhood is bordered by Lake Wingra and Henry Vilas Zoo to the south, and Greenbush to the east and travels up vibrant Monroe Street to the north, and Edgewood College to the east. It is very walkable to all the area offerings and is an energetic place to visit or call home! It is a historic area in the heart of Madison!
Exploring the Neighborhood
You will hear the echoes of fans of Wisconsin Football at Camp Randall, to the roars of lions from the Henry Vilas Zoo. Fill up your days with the sights while walking and biking along the wooded shores of Lake Wingra and enjoy the change of seasons in the UW Arboretum. The entrance to Madison’s Gem – UW Arboretum – is nestled right in the middle of the neighborhood for easy access! Whether heading down to the establishments along Regent Street or taking a stroll up Monroe Street – you will feel energized with the buzz of this neighborhood!
