Parkwood Hills Neighborhood

Parkwood Hills neighborhood is a strong vibrant community that is located on the near west side of Madison.  It is the only Madison neighborhood that is the home of THREE public schools all within walking distance.  (John Muir Elementary, Jefferson Middle School, James Madison Memorial High School).  This west side neighborhood is bounded by Mineral Point Road, Old Sauk Road, and Gammon Road – three busy thoroughfares that connect this neighborhood to Downtown Madison and the Beltline Highway.

Lifestyle

Residents can walk down the tree-lined streets to schools and many nature areas.  The Owen Conservation Park is a 92-acre hidden gem that offers nearly two miles of free-to-use intermediate ski trails, and offers a network of hiking trails, wonderful views, and an abundance of plants and wildlife, all right in the middle of our beautiful city.  The Parkwood Hills Neighborhood Association is very active and plans seasonal events.  It is a highly sought-after area – if you call Parkwood Hills home, it really is the whole package.
